Farmhouse 181 is New in the Blogosphere!
Hey Y’all, I’m Brittany from Farmhouse 181. So happy to meet you…my friends call me Britt!

My Goal at Farmhouse 181
Here at Farmhouse 181 I hope to introduce you to our way of country living, home cooking, simple homemaking and good stewardship, BUT with some added spunk and realness sprinkled in! While we love all things livestock, family, farmhouse, faith, tradition, and some good home cooking, we are definitely not Pinterest Perfect or the epitome of country beauty…SURPRISE! We are just a normal rural family trying to live our everyday lives unto the Lord and be grateful for all he has blessed us with. As I like to say around here, “Effort is essential, but Perfection is not.”

My goal at Farmhouse 181 is to always share something useful with you, that is also attainable. Attainable for your budget, skill set, and time constraints, because let’s be real here…as a Mom, my whole life is a balance of time, energy and money strategically distributed! Follow along with me on our journey of improving our farmhouse in every aspect…from a lot of recipes, batch cooking, DIYs, organization, small home projects, as well as products and routines that make our lives easier! We might not be perfect on our tiny dot of the internet, but I believe that God can still use our family to bring Him glory…and that’s pretty beautiful to me!

If you don’t resonate with any of the above, have it all together, have a Pinterest perfect home, and don’t fight a battle with your mouth and patience…I don’t know if we will be your jam. But can I say well done! Rock on Sister and stick around to leave me some tips! Growth is the goal!

My Family
My husband, Chance, and I live in our little farmhouse on a few acres here in Central Texas. Us and our 2 kids have called this place home for the past 4 years. I guess we can’t forget the animals. Our dogs, cats, cows, sheep, and chickens reside at Farmhouse 181 as well!
Chance and I both grew up here in rural central Texas and it was always our dream to own our own small piece of property “in the country”. We wanted to raise our kids where we are surrounded by those who pour into our family and help instill the time-tested values and lessons that are essential for a life that is honoring to our Lord.
We love our God. We love our family. We love our friends and we love our home. We are grateful and we are blessed!
My Heart
I have the heart of a learner and am always looking for ways to improve our life. Efficiency is a BIG DEAL to me! So is ENJOYMENT! The past 13 years I spent in my career supporting the agricultural production industry through ag lending. My days as a seasoned credit analyst consisted of helping provide credit and operational financial analysis to some of the largest farming and ranching operations in our area of Texas.

While working, I always found time to sprinkle in home cooking, gardening, canning, home renovations and much more into my days. I began to want more time for the things that mattered to our family. Time for more home cooked, clean meals, time in the present without distractions, and time to enjoy the life we’ve built.
A HUGE change happened for us at the beginning of 2024. I transitioned to a full time stay at home Mom dedicated fully to our family and home! My kids say I’m retired now. Between kids activities, livestock, church, and family time, our cup still runs over in the best way! I hope you’ll join me on our never-ending pursuit of improving our farmhouse, simplifying our life and being good stewards of what God has blessed us with…all while enjoying the chaos along the way!
Thanks for being here and Welcome to Farmhouse 181!
