Try the best mild salsa ever for snacking, kids, and folks with low heat tolerance! Did I mention, this recipe is super easy as well?!
Course:Appetizer, Snack
Keyword:mild salsa
- 1 Bunch Fresh Cilantro
- 1 Medium Sweet Onion (or half a large sweet onion)
- 1 Can Regular or Mild Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies)
- 1 Can Diced Tomatoes
- ½-1 Tbsp Salt, to taste
Rince your bunch of fresh cilantro and shake off the excess moisture.
Break off the cilantro stems. I usually just break off the stems at the band and discard them.
Put your cilantro into the blender first.
Cut the ends off of the onion and peel off the skins. Quarter your onion and put the pieces into the blender.
Put the can of diced tomatoes, Rotel, and salt into the blender.
Pulse and blend your salsa until you no longer see any large chunks of onions.
Taste test and add more salt, if needed.
Pour your salsa into an airtight container and keep in the fridge.
Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
