Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 lb Chicken, Roasted or Rotisserie
  • ½ cup Real Bacon Bits or Chopped and Cooked Bacon
  • 12 oz Pasta
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Pasta Water, Reserved
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, shredded or grated
  • ½ to 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ½ tsp Salt, or to taste

Instructions

  • Cook/boil your pasta of choice to your desired doneness.
  • Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Saute onion in your skillet or sauce pan over medium heat in the butter until it is translucent and begins to brown.
  • Add your minced garlic, chicken and bacon bits. Stir around for a minute or so until both are warm and fragrant.
  • Add the heavy cream to your pan and turn your heat to medium to low.
  • Add in all of the seasonings aside from salt and keep stirring your heavy cream in the pan until it begins to bubble.
  • Once the heavy cream has just began to bubble for a minute or so, add in your pasta water and bring back to a simmer.
  • Add in the parmesan cheese once the sauce comes back to a simmer. Stir until cheese is melted and combined.
  • Do a taste test to see how much salt you need. Salt to taste, bring to a simmer, then remove from heat.
  • Add the cooked and drained pasta into the saucepan and combine thoroughly to coat all of the noodles with sauce.
  • Serve and enjoy!
